OUR FIRST SHOP IS AIMING TO STARTED ON

It's all systems go to get it ready for the opening. Debbie is now in touch with those who volunteered help. We still need people with marketing ideas, letter writing skills, and the ability to hold/use a paint-brush (instructions will be given!). If you can't offer time, but have ideas or you have a staff notice board in your workplace to advertise the opening of Sust! please let us know. Obviously, we will also be looking for people to work in the shop, this could be for a half day, a couple of hours, even just half an hour once a month to cover a lunch break - have a think if you've got some time available and would like to gain new skills or brush up on old ones, whatever - let us know.

If you work for or have contact with a company/organisation in MK who use fairtrade tea or coffee in the kitchen, canteen or office vending machine for example, please let us know. If you would like your company to provide fairtrade products, please ask those responsible - or let us know the contact and we will approach them (this is in conjunction with MK Fairtrade Forum working towards Fairtrade Status for Milton Keynes www.mkfairtrade.co.uk)

If the company you work for has an environmental, ethical or Corporate Social Responsibility policy, please let us know as we would like to invite staff to an evening preview in the shop, with fairtrade presentation/taster session.

Community Champions Grant Jo Busby has been awarded a grant to be a "Community Champion" to organise volunteer recruitment and training in managing the shop. Anyone wishing to volunteer contact Jo at the shop on 01908 232255.
